Short cut to Yummy Lunch

Butter garlic rice & fried chicken with lentil

Today I have a lot of works to do, so Yaseen helps me out cooking lunch. This delicious rice & chicken with lentil is so quick and easy.

First you want to melt 50 gm of butter in the automatic rice cooker.

Chop half  an onion and add to the butter.

Yaseen sautes the onion until golden brown, and add 2 cloves of garlic (chopped).

Add one cup of rice and 1 1/2 cup of water. Keep the lid on and cook until rice is done.

Combine 500 gm chicken with 1/2 tsp of salt, a little bit of sugar, 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 eggs, 1 tsp of pepper and 1 tsp of curry powder, and mix well. Keep aside for 15-20 minutes.

Fry until crispy brown.

Cook lentil until soft. Saute shallot and add cooked lentil. Fry for few minutes and it is ready.

I have friends who rave about Thai foods and have enjoyably eaten it in their presence but don’t cook it because I don’t know what right is. Two questions, is this recipe (above) really authentic Thai as I can find all the ingredients and is their a substitute for fish sauce as I doubt I can find authentic ingredients within 1,500 miles.
If I succeed I promise their will be a headline that says “Thai Won On” and a link to your site
Also start posting under kids cooking so we can expand the area of kids cooking.

This recipe is not Thai, it’s Indian flavour food. I have Thai recipe here

      And soon more…

Most vegetarians substitute fish sauce with salt and light soy sauce. But it’s give the right flavour. If you can get fish sauce, then your Thai food will taste more like Authentic Thai food.

Thanks for your suggestion about cooking with kids, I’m gonna do that. I find it very helpful. It is very kind of you. Thank you so much.

P.s. I love your blog. I will be checking back for new recipes, every day.
